Job Title: Electrical Tradeperson

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Electrical Tradesperson to join our team at our Stapylton site. This is a full-time position as an integral member of the team rotating on both the morning and afternoon shifts across multiple 24hr production facilities.

This role is critical in supporting the production crew through both preventive maintenance and breakdown support. As someone who has previous experience working as an Industrial Electrician in a high-volume manufacturing facility, we expect that you will hold the relevant trade qualifications and be able to demonstrate good communication, problem solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards.
  • Carry out electrical repairs on a range of fixed plant with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Operations team during breakdowns, fault finding and troubleshooting issues.
  • Respond effectively to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Maintain PLCs and circuitry.
  • Perform inspections, servicing and repairs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Conduct major overhauls through various plant shutdowns.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide direction to contractors and work groups as required.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified (Valid unrestricted electrical licence)
  • Demonstrated experience working as an Electrician in an industrial environment
  • A high level of fault-finding experience
  • PLC diagnostic experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • A confident, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills
  • A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility
  • Ability to work autonomously and without direct supervision when required.
