Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter to join our team as a Senior Timber Installation Specialist. This role will involve working on various civil construction projects, utilizing your expertise in timber installation to ensure the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Preparation: Interpret and study construction drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and construction procedures.
  • Timber Procurement: Order, select, and procure timbers and other necessary materials, and meticulously prepare layouts to optimize efficiency.
  • Cutting and Shaping: Cut materials precisely to size, shape them as per project requirements, and expertly assemble and secure components with precision.
  • Site Installation: Assemble and prepare wood components off-site for on-site installation, ensuring readiness and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Carpenter in civil construction or related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools essential to carpentry, ability to interpret and execute technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of wood properties, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship, physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of construction work, effective teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when required.

What We Offer
