Accounting Career Starter

Kickstart your accounting career with hands-on experience in financial reporting, compliance, and reconciliations. As a recent accounting graduate or 1-2 years of accounting experience, you'll gain exposure to strategic financial planning and develop skills in Microsoft Excel.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly reporting packs and insightful reports for key business entities, assist with actual and forecast cash flow reports, and analyze financial data for accuracy and integrity.
  • General Ledger: Post month-end journals in Microsoft BC and perform balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Reconciliations: Maintain fixed asset registers, reconcile intercompany transactions, perform quarterly reconciliations for non-operating entities, and prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across local and foreign currency accounts.
  • Compliance: Assist in preparing BAS returns for entities across multiple jurisdictions.

  • A Bachelor's Degree majoring in Accounting.
  • A positive attitude, energetic, and enthusiastic individual who enjoys contributing to a fun and supportive team culture.
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced level preferred).
  • A solid understanding of reconciliations and financial processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and other software packages.
  • Organised, flexible, and thrives in a team environment.
  • Willingness to undertake CPA or CA designation.
