Job Overview

The Meredith Dairy seeks a dedicated and experienced team leader to oversee daily operations, manage a team of dairy farm workers, and ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and product quality.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who is passionate about dairy farming with a love of animals and farm work. The ideal candidate should be able to carry out all duties safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of dairy farm workers to achieve optimal production and efficiency
  • Oversee milking operations to ensure adherence to high hygiene standards
  • Manage goat health and welfare, including monitoring and basic veterinary care
  • Coordinate farm maintenance and equipment checks to prevent downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations to protect employees and assets
  • Train and mentor staff to maintain high performance and promote career development
Requirements
  • Previous experience in dairy farming, preferably with goats or livestock
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to drive results and improve morale
  • Knowledge of milking processes and animal husbandry to make informed decisions
  • Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery to ensure efficient operations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders
