Job Overview

The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking an experienced Medical Education Instructor to join our team on the Darlinghurst campus in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity for sessional academic staff members with subject matter expertise in one or more areas such as Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Haematology, and Immunology.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratories/tutorials to the standard of the Program
  • Consultation with students in relation to activities, practicals, weekly topics and upcoming assessments
  • Assisting with assessment administration, such as marking, entering results and providing feedback to students as required
  • Attend meetings as required by the Head of the Basic & Clinical Sciences Domain
Qualifications and Skills
  • Masters or a fellowship of the College or with equivalent professional experience. A minimum of an undergraduate qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students
