About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHV Operator to join our Field Operations team in North West Tasmania. As an EHV Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient transmission of electrical power.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of operational plan sheets for the execution of works
  • Operating and monitoring Extra High Voltage (EHV) equipment
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on EHV equipment
  • Responding promptly to equipment alarms and performing corrective actions
  • Collaborating with other teams/contractors to schedule and execute works to EHV systems
  • Keeping accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and incidents
  • Providing leadership to team members and driving continuous improvement objectives
  • Participating in an on-call roster for fault and emergency repair

About You

You will hold an Electrical Technician licence and have a positive 'can do' approach to your work. Your ability to work independently across various job sites in a safe and timely manner with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance with PSI & AP is required.

Your knowledge of the Electrical Safety Code, Workplace Health & Safety Act, and other relevant legislation, coupled with an ability to think on your feet and solve problems, will see you succeed in this role.
