EHV Operator

We are seeking an experienced EHV Operator to join our Field Operations team in North West Tasmania. As an EHV Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Extra High Voltage (EHV) equipment, ensuring the reliable and efficient transmission of electrical power.

• Prepare operational plan sheets for the execution of works
• Operate and monitor EHV equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on EHV equipment
• Respond to equipment alarms and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with other teams/contractors to schedule and execute works to EHV systems
• Keep accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and incidents for reporting and analysis purposes
• Provide leadership to team members and drive continuous improvement objectives
• Participate in an on-call roster for fault and emergency repair

You will hold an Electrical Technician licence and have a positive 'can do' approach to your work. Your ability to work independently across various job sites in a safe and timely manner with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance with PSI & AP is required.

Your knowledge of the Electrical Safety Code, Workplace Health & Safety Act, and other relevant legislation, coupled with an ability to think on your feet and solve problems, will see you succeed in this role.
