About the Position

This is a full-time opportunity to join our team as a contracts administrator. The successful candidate will be based at our head office in Port Melbourne, with occasional visits to job sites around Melbourne.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Understanding project requirements and customer needs.
  • Reviewing, approving and negotiating contracts and contract terms.
  • Preparing budgets, issuing purchase orders and verifying suppliers' invoices.
  • Overseeing project finances, tasks and timelines.
  • Providing weekly project reports and project forecasts.
  • Supporting the operations manager/project manager/site foreman in managing project details, including program, schedule, deliverables and resources.
  • Collaborating with clients, consultants, trades and suppliers.
Required Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will need to have:

  • A construction management or quantity surveying degree, diploma level or relevant experience in a similar field.
  • High-level computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Project.
  • Experience in contract administration.
  • Knowledge of project planning, drawings and document management.
  • Financial planning and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A full driver's license.
