Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at the Paraburdoo site in Western Australia. The project involves the construction of a new Run of Mine (ROM) pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit, and modifications to the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) and downstream conveying system.

The Role

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering support to the project, including technical queries, inspections, and interpretation of design deliverables. You will also interface with other project functions, such as quality, commercial, construction, and project controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical engineering support to the project
  • Interface with other project functions
  • Assist the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager with project management tasks
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in structural/mechanical engineering or construction management
  • Sound knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and cost control tools
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years previous project experience on Construction SMP Projects, ideally in the mining sector, oil and gas sector
