Project Controls Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned project controls professional to join our Global Capital Projects team in Perth.

This is a pivotal role that spans the full project lifecycle, from early scoping through to execution. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in project controls, estimating, scheduling or risk management, with experience across studies and execution phases in mining projects.

The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing a new project controls system, developing governance and procedures, managing portfolio reporting, and overseeing the Authorisation for Expenditure process. This is a unique opportunity to build a function from the ground up, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive consistency, insight, and performance across our global capital portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BUILDING a function from the ground up

Requirements:

We are looking for a tertiary qualified professional with deep expertise in project controls, estimating, scheduling or risk management. Experience across EPCM, contractor, and owners team environments is essential, ideally with site-based exposure. The successful applicant will have successfully implemented systems and standards in the past and be able to distill complex data into clear insights.
