About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Panel Beater to join our team at Busways. As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for preparing and cleaning vehicle surfaces for paint application, removing and repairing damaged panels, and ensuring the maintenance of spray-painting equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake preparation and cleaning of vehicle surfaces prior to paint application
  • Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels
  • Maintain spray-painting equipment and tools
  • Provide body structural, accident damage, and associated repairs, service, and maintenance to vehicles
  • Manufacture, service, and fit vehicle components constructed from various materials
  • Demonstrate and maintain clean workshop practices
  • Ensure maintenance and repairs are performed according to company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • Sound level and demonstrated skills in a spray-painting role
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies
  • Sound level of verbal and written communication
  • Experience in working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules
  • Ability to differentiate between colours and balance and layer colours
