Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in Accounts Payable tasks? We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at the Corporate Office.

The Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling complex Accounts Payable tasks, including vendor statement reconciliations, supplier claims, bank reconciliations, month-end general ledger to subledger reconciliations, inter-company account reconciliations, and employee T&E claims. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Process supplier invoices and claims promptly and accurately
  • Review and process supplier credit notes and employee benefit/travel expense claims thoroughly
  • Manage Costco Warehouse/Depot expenses and follow up on missing invoices efficiently
  • Perform end-to-end supplier statement reconciliations monthly with high accuracy
  • Analyze freight and duty supplier statements to resolve discrepancies effectively
  • Review and analyze AP aged items monthly to ensure timely payment
  • Liaise with suppliers to keep accounts up to date and accurate
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly
  • Ensure GST accuracy and compliance across all transactions
  • Support other AP functions to meet team performance targets
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in accounting preferred or relevant qualification
  • 1-2 years of AP experience, including vendor statement reconciliation and analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills for accurate processing
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and systems, Excel skills (V-Lookups, PivotTables) for data analysis
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, resilience, and ability to work independently or in a team environment
