The company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Business Services team.

About the Role

This role is a hybrid position with an office located in Fortitude Valley, QLD. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing BAS, IAS, financial statements, and completing asset depreciation schedules
  • Preparing tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, and partnerships
  • Completing Division 7A Loan Reconciliation workpapers
  • Reconciling GST and CGT (property for individuals and listed shares)
  • Liaising directly with clients across various industries, including medical, engineering, retail, manufacturing, and more
  • Providing accurate and timely business advice to clients of various sizes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a public accounting practice
  • Exposure to Div7a, GST, CGT, FBT, Payroll, Property, and Bookkeeping
  • Experience working with business clients with a turnover of at least $4 million
  • Demonstrated expertise with MYOB AE & Xero
  • A strong work ethic, motivation, positive attitude, and honesty
  • Completion or enrollment in a CA/CPA program
