Job Title: Senior Design Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Lead to spearhead our design team in delivering high-quality technical projects on time.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Direct and motivate a team of designers to deliver projects efficiently, leveraging their strengths and expertise.
  • Client Liaison: Foster strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and construction partners to ensure alignment and integration of design solutions.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control design expenditures using robust tracking systems to optimize budgets and prevent overruns.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards through effective QA processes.
  • Technical Oversight: Direct primary and secondary design, conduct design reviews, and collaborate with external consultants on electrical studies.
Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations).
  • Primary design engineering experience.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering).
  • CPEng or working towards it.
  • Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia).
