Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

This role is for a highly skilled and experienced electrical engineer who can lead the preparation of protection and secondary systems design packages.

  • Leading the development of comprehensive design solutions for HV & EHV substations.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure design alignment and compliance with industry standards.
  • Developing and reviewing schematics, logic diagrams, and functional specifications.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in secondary systems design and be an expert in protection relays, control systems, and SCADA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of protection and secondary systems.
  • Coordination with primary, civil, and drafting teams.
  • Compliance with industry standards and QA requirements.
  • Supporting project delivery from early design through testing and commissioning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in secondary systems design for HV & EHV substations.
  • Expertise in protection relays, control systems, and SCADA.
  • Strong working knowledge of AS/NZS 61850 and relevant HV standards.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • CPEng (or working towards) and EA membership preferred.
