About the Organisation:

VACCA Melton is a leading provider of family violence services in the region, delivering a range of programs and support services to Aboriginal women and their children.

Role Overview:

The Family Violence Case Worker will be responsible for providing advocacy, referrals, and support to clients, and will work closely with the team to deliver high-quality services and achieve program goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualised support and case management to clients, including assessment, goal setting, and outcome monitoring
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local organisations and community members
  3. Contribute to the development of new initiatives and programs to address family violence in the community
  4. Collaborate with other professionals and community agencies to ensure a coordinated response to family violence
  5. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in family violence casework or related fields
  • Understanding of MARAM framework (or willingness to complete MARAM training)
  • Strong advocacy, referral, and support skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and external partners
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Benefits:

  • SCHADS Level 4 salary ($53 - $57 per hour) depending on experience
  • Full-time locum position for approximately 3-4 months
  • Opportunity to start ASAP
  • Work from the office with outreach as required
