About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our team at Axia Recruitment. As a Senior Architect, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, drafting, specification, and coordination of a range of small to medium-sized commercial projects across the state, as well as some residential work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage architectural projects with a commercial focus, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with clients throughout the design process to refine their development needs and provide innovative solutions.
- Develop detailed and precise design drawings using industry-standard software.
- Coordinate planning and building approvals, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of design documentation, maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Work within agreed financial parameters, including approved budgets, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Mentor and train junior team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge to support their growth and development.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand design requirements and ensure seamless project delivery.
- Some statewide travel may be required to meet with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 3-10 years of post-graduation experience in architecture, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects.
- Registered architect or in the process of registration, with a deep understanding of Australian building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard software, including ARCHICAD.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Experience in CAD/BIM management and contract administration is desirable but not essential.
