Are you looking for a hands-on, outdoor and laboratory-based career in construction testing? We have an exciting opportunity for Trainee Soil and Concrete Technicians at our Townsville Lab. In this role, you will test soil and concrete samples, use advanced equipment and instruments, and work both in the lab and on real construction sites. You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers accurate results to major engineering and construction companies across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

This is a trainee position, ideal for early-career individuals or those looking to kickstart their career in the construction industry. As a Trainee Soil and Concrete Technician, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience, work with experienced professionals, and develop your skills in soil and concrete testing. Depending on your interests and skills, you may also get to head out to customer sites for soil and concrete investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test soil and concrete samples using advanced equipment and instruments
  • Work both in the lab and on real construction sites
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Contribute to a dynamic team that delivers accurate results
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian driver's licence (manual preferred)
  • White card (or willingness to obtain one quickly)
  • Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
