About the Role
As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for enforcing safety standards and operating procedures, contributing to the development of business strategy, and supporting workforce planning in line with business objectives. You will also be responsible for performance management, providing coaching and advice to leaders and the broader HR team, and championing change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety standards and operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment;
- Contribute to the development of business strategy by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing appropriate HR interventions;
- Support workforce planning in line with business objectives;
- Manage performance and provide coaching and advice to leaders and the broader HR team;
- Champion change initiatives and influence employee engagement;
- Actively influence and gain cooperation of others in the business through the development of strong relationships;
- Provide guidance on policies, employment agreements, contracts, awards, and legislation;
- Manage complex HR or IR issues through case management;
- Travel to site as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. You will ideally have a minimum five years of Human Resources/Workplace Relations experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality workplace investigations. You will also have experience working in a unionized heavy industry environment and be comfortable interpreting workplace legislation and industrial instruments.
