
Senior Actuarial Specialist

As an Actuarial Consultant, you will partner with clients to transform actuarial modelling and risk analytics into actionable strategies that improve performance and manage risk.
- Apply advanced actuarial techniques to areas such as claims forecasting, risk assessment, insurance program optimization, and climate risk strategy.
- Build and interpret stochastic models, including Monte Carlo simulations, to quantify uncertainty and guide client decisions.
- Develop and deploy predictive models such as Generalized Linear Models (GLMs) and deep neural networks to uncover trends and improve forecasts.
- Support business growth by identifying consulting opportunities and strengthening client relationships.
- Conduct data analysis and statistical modeling using Python, R, and SQL.
- Prepare clear, compelling reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Collaborate with industry experts to align technical outcomes with commercial goals.
- Enhance internal methodologies and frameworks.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant fields.
- Proficiency in Python or R and expertise in SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in simulation and statistical modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong communication skills.
Desirable Attributes:
- Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries Australia & New Zealand (FIAA) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of geospatial analytics.
