Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary package of approximately $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in driving excellence in our financial operations, encompassing a range of finance functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with monthly accounts processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and processing journals
  • Supporting regular external reporting
  • Implementing new programs and projects, including setting up processes, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Participating in the continuous improvement cycle, identifying and raising improvements through Wintringham's quality systems
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia or CPA Australia (or equivalent)
  • Strong technical skills and experience in financial or management accounting
  • Investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyse financial information
  • Advanced Excel skills, with a high degree of proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications
  • A minimum of three years' experience working within a finance team
