Job Description

This role is responsible for providing social work services to patients, families and carers of the hospital and local health district. The successful candidate will have the ability to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters and may require direct supervision for novel, complex, or critical tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social work services to patients, families and carers.
  • Exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, standards and practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
  • Clinical experience in discharge planning, NDIS, child protection, domestic violence, grief and bereavement.
  • Understanding of issues associated with working with culturally and linguistically diverse client groups.
