A leading health network in South East Sydney is currently seeking experienced Mental Health Nurses to join their multidisciplinary teams. As a Mental Health Nurse with this organization, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of innovative mental health services.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for nurses who are passionate about providing compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals with mental health issues. You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive care that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your patients and contribute to the development of new programs and services that promote recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals with mental health issues, utilizing evidence-based practices and person-centered approaches.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health management, coping strategies, and community resources.
- Contribute to the development of new programs and services that promote recovery and well-being, such as peer support groups, cognitive behavioral therapy, and medication management.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:
- A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
- A minimum of 3 years experience working in mental health nursing, preferably in a hospital or community setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
We offer a competitive salary package, including:
- A base salary ranging from $65,000 to $95,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- An additional allowance for shift work, weekend work, and overtime.
