Job Title: Senior Property Officer

This role offers a part-time opportunity to contribute meaningfully to property operations and community land management on site. You will be joining a collaborative team of three, working together to achieve strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lease administration involves managing agreements for Council buildings and land, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Property maintenance contracts are coordinated to ensure the upkeep of facilities, including cleaning, HVAC, and pest control services.
  • WHS and regulatory compliance is ensured for tenanted buildings through proactive monitoring and effective risk management strategies.
  • Strategic asset decisions are supported through lease register maintenance and analysis, informing acquisitions and disposals.
  • Community and commercial leases, as well as road closures and encroachments, require coordination and resolution in accordance with policy guidelines.
  • Contribution to asset management planning and capital works programs enhances the overall property portfolio performance.

About You:

  • Experience in local government or state government agencies is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of property legislation and asset management practices underpins success in this role.
  • Negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for effective collaboration and communication.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate property databases and documentation ensures seamless information sharing and decision-making.
  • Motivation, organization, and ability to work independently within a team environment are key attributes for this position.
