Xero is a leading cloud-based accounting software company that helps small businesses and their advisors grow and thrive. We're looking for a Technical Lead - Engineering to join our Identity & Auth Team.

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading two pods of talented developers and working closely with the Product Manager and Lead Engineers to set the direction of the pods. You will promote successful outcomes for the pods, through supporting your direct reports in becoming awesome engineers, fostering a culture of teamwork, and promoting excellent engineering and delivery practices.

This is a role with a high potential for impact, working on a platform of large scale and throughput, that our millions of customers use every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure your team has all of the right tools and support they need to be successful.
  • Meet regularly with each member of your team and encourage them to become the highest performing version of themselves they can be.
  • Be influential in delivery, fostering a culture of quality and trust.
  • Ensure software is built to a high standard.
  • Help resolve roadblocks that the team faces.
  • Look to continually improve and iterate on the agile process and practices within the team.
What You'll Work On

You'll have the opportunity to work on a microservice written in C# on .NET, using AWS services, running in a Docker container, orchestrated by Kubernetes, accessed by a SPA written in React with TypeScript, deployed with an automated CI/CD pipeline, and monitored by industry-leading monitoring, alerting, tracing, and logging tools.
