
Chief Software Assets Governance Specialist

The Software Asset Manager plays a pivotal role in driving an operational model centred on business partners. Ensuring software and hardware assets are managed efficiently, compliantly, and with maximum value for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with Service Owners to track, facilitate, and optimise software and hardware contract renewals.
- Advise on solutions to meet business requirements while ensuring procurement of only approved products.
- Validate asset usage, meet financial requirements, and monitor lifecycle stages including End-of-Life, version management, and fleet size.
- Work with technology teams to design and execute transition strategies for assets and contractual arrangements.
- Identify licensing risks, non-compliance, and mitigation strategies through strong control mechanisms.

Requirements:- Proven experience in software asset management, including direct dealings with software vendors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative skills.
- Expertise in software and hardware asset management principles.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Understanding of operating environments, core applications, and products in a corporate setting.
