
Business Intelligence Specialist

The Commercial Insights Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth and commercial success across the global online sports betting business operating in Australia, the USA, and the UK.
This position requires a commercially-minded individual with a strong interest in the gaming and entertainment industry, analytical skills, and the ability to collate industry data into actionable insights.
The role will directly support commercial negotiations, licensing efforts, regulatory submissions, and commercial decision-making by delivering robust market research, customer analysis, industry benchmarking, and growth forecasting.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive research on betting markets, consumer behaviour, and industry activity across key territories and expansion targets.
- Developing models and frameworks to analyse market trends and project revenue growth opportunities.
- Supporting new product development and market entry initiatives through feasibility studies and market-fit analysis.
- Reviewing and summarising industry publications, key bulletins, analyst reports, and economic data relevant to sports betting, daily fantasy sports, and iGaming.
- Assisting in compiling evidence and research for licence applications and regulatory submissions.
- Providing analytical support to the broader commercial team, including performance dashboards, KPI tracking, and ROI analyses.
- Assisting in review and negotiation of key commercial contracts, including reviewing supplier performance, contract renewals, service levels, and costs analysis.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, law, data analytics, finance, or accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into short commercial insights.
- Strong research and data collating capabilities with demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the online sports betting or gaming industries and their commercial frameworks.
- Proficiency in data storage and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Quicksight, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a regulated industry or contributing to licensing submissions.
- Understanding of global wagering markets, especially in Australia, the USA, and/or the UK.
