As a Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving our Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Program, Data Governance Program, and Knowledge Management Framework.

The BCP Program ensures that our operations are resilient, data is managed effectively, and knowledge is systematically captured and utilised. This role involves establishing and applying data governance policies and procedures, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across the business, and developing and implementing data management strategies.

About the Opportunity

This position requires experience in Business Continuity Planning, Data Governance, and Knowledge Management, in an Insurance and/or Financial Services setting. You must have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and insurance industry best practices. Excellent project management and organisational skills are also essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the business.
  • Develop and implement data management strategies, including data classifications, data lifecycle management, and data privacy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, to ensure data governance practices are aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on data governance metrics.
  • Involvement in business continuity plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments on the business.
  • Involvement in the creation of a knowledge management strategy.
