Overview

The Instruction & Outreach Librarian is responsible for developing and executing educational programs and information literacy initiatives tailored for diverse academic audiences. This role emphasizes the promotion of library services through innovative outreach strategies and collaboration with faculty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver library instruction across various formats, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all students.
  • Work closely with academic staff to align library resources with curriculum goals and learning objectives.
  • Conduct assessments of instructional programs to evaluate effectiveness and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with fellow librarians to create cohesive outreach initiatives and instructional materials.
  • Provide expert reference assistance at the main service desk, supporting users in their research needs.
  • Contribute to the development of library collections in designated subject areas.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support library operations.
Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in library science or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related role.
