Job Overview

Our company is seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in processing reo bars and mesh through bending machines to create reinforcement cages for the construction sector.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties

  • Operate metal reo bar and mesh bending machines with precision and accuracy
  • Work effectively in different hours (Day and Afternoon shifts)
  • Perform regular overtime prior to starting shift for day shift and after shift for afternoon shift as required
  • Maintain high work ethics and be a valued team player
  • Develop strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ensure reliability and punctuality in all aspects of the job

Pay Information

The hourly rate for this position is between $38.00 and $45.00 plus Super, with additional payments made for overtime worked. Rates may vary depending on shift and experience.

Schedule Details

This is a casual role, with shifts spanning 10 hours and operating across Day and Afternoon shifts. Overtime may be required.

  • Overtime pay is applicable for work exceeding standard hours
  • Penalty rates apply for specific conditions or times worked

Location and Commute

Applicants must be able to commute to Hobart, TAS, or relocate before commencing work. Reliable transportation is essential.

Licences/Certifications

  • Order Picking Forklift Licence is highly desirable but not mandatory
  • White Card certification is preferred but not required
  • Forklift Licence is advantageous but not essential
  • Driver Licence is beneficial but not necessary

Authorisation and Work Location

Work authorisation is required for Australia, and this role involves on-site work at designated locations.
