Exciting Opportunity in Materials Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join our forensic engineering team as a Materials Scientist. This role will involve performing root cause analysis, failure investigations, and materials testing.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a range of challenging projects, collaborating with clients from diverse industries. As a Materials Scientist, you will diagnose problems, provide solutions, and develop an ongoing working relationship with clients.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Performing forensic engineering and failure investigations.
  • Conducting root cause analysis.
  • Carrying out materials testing and non-destructive testing.
  • Engaging with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing expert witness services.
  • Preparing and reviewing written reports for clients.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Materials Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in root cause analysis and/or failure analysis.
  • Strong understanding of failure analysis principles and processes.
  • Practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to adapt technical knowledge to various materials.
  • Demonstrated experience producing quality technical reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software and cloud-based CRM applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A current driver's license and Australian working rights.
