Highly Skilled Forensic Engineer Wanted

Crawford & Company is a leading global company offering Engineering, Quantity Surveying and Building Consultancy services to the insurance industry. As part of our CRD Team located within our Sunshine Coast office, we are seeking an experienced Forensic Engineer to provide expert advice on all things forensic engineering.
The role involves inspecting and reporting on building related matters, providing technical advice and detailed scope of works and cost estimates in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia. You will deal with various stakeholders including Insureds, general public, builders and insurers.
We welcome applications from individuals who have remedial/structural engineering experience and a can-do attitude, willing to grow their career within the forensic engineering/insurance space.
About the OpportunityThis exciting opportunity suits candidates who can demonstrate:
- Sound technical experience in Forensic Engineering (min 3+ years)
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- High motivation, responsibility, sound judgement and customer focus
- Previous experience documenting and leading a diverse range of projects
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced consulting environment with competing demands
- Strong commercial and business sense
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably structural engineering)
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or National Engineering Register (NER) qualified
- At least 3 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer
- A thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment; preferably within the insurance industry
- Experience working with legal firms and insurance companies (highly desirable)
- Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs to domestic, commercial and industrial properties
- Ability to support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings
