Key Role in Business IT Support

The Solution Architect plays a pivotal part in evaluating business needs and identifying ways IT can support those requirements by leveraging software, hardware, or infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of Corporate Technology's IT strategy
  • Align the IT strategy with the organisation's objectives for the next 3 years
  • Translate business, functional and non-functional requirements into solution designs and ensure alignment with customer expectations
  • Provide guidance and direction for implementing best practices
  • Identify potential solution options, enhancements, and recommendations

The ideal candidate will have significant knowledge and experience in designing and implementing software and infrastructure solutions across large environments.

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify opportunities and inefficiencies in IT infrastructure, are essential. Experience in infrastructure and network solution design is also highly valued.

The Solution Architect will contribute to the development and maintenance of IT group standards and governance, ensuring that technology solutions meet business objectives.

Stakeholder engagement is critical, requiring the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and other stakeholders, seek feedback to ensure customer satisfaction, and share knowledge and learning with others.

Requirements:
  • Significant knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of software and infrastructure solutions across large environments
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify opportunities and inefficiencies in IT infrastructure
  • Experience in infrastructure and network solution design
  • Knowledge of enterprise solution architecture, with experience in finance and HR business processes and technologies
