About the Role
Arup is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a world leader in ground engineering consulting services, we offer a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from early-stage consultation to long-term infrastructure asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients and project engineers to understand project requirements
- Carry out research and investigations to develop a clear understanding of ground conditions at project sites
- Plan, specify, and manage site investigations and laboratory testing programs
- Lead and manage small teams to undertake geotechnical design and assessments at various project stages
- Assist the geotechnical leadership team in developing client relationships, training and mentoring geotechnical team members, and fostering strong working relationships across Arup
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' experience in geotechnical design and construction
- Proven track record in geotechnical design and experience across a range of medium to large-scale projects and/or building types
- Experience of leading teams on multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience of planning, managing, supervising, and interpreting geotechnical investigations
- Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred and Chartered Membership of EA (or equivalent, or be eligible)
