Workforce Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Workforce Planning Specialist in our Workforce Planning Department at Brisbane Airport on a full-time basis.

About the Role:

As a Workforce Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the supply and demand of our catering workforce. You will ensure that all roster management is in accordance with national processes within the Ground Star system.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Administering staff/roster movements and the allocation of labour hire and overtime, while adhering to all EBA and business requirements.
  2. E nsuring systems' data entry and integrity, and providing input into creating rosters.
  3. Acting as primary contact for staff queries relating to published rosters.
  4. Updating systems to reflect accurate staff allocation and shifts.
  5. Covering absenteeism, uploading labour hire data, preparing and distributing day sheets for all areas of the Catering Business.
  6. Providing regular and consistent feedback on all allocation processes highlighting any opportunities to the Labour Planning Analyst, Workforce Planner, and catering business.
  7. Maintaining an understanding of EBA and Industrial Relations requirements and ensuring that they are applied correctly (including payroll compliance).
  8. Reporting on requirements for development of systems and process improvements.
  9. Delivering a high level of customer service to internal/external customers.

Requirements for Success:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous workforce planning experience in a similar role with high volume.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and experience in allocation of resources.
  • Day of operations planning and live task allocation experience is highly regarded.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively work under pressure.
  • Ability to model, influence, and encourage positive behaviours in the team.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs and priorities of a fast-paced business.
  • S elf-motivated, possessing and demonstrating strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Pro-activeness, can-do attitude, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong level of computer literacy skills.
