Financial Accountant Position

A key role exists within a leading organisation's finance team. This position will assist in the management and communication of financial & corporate accounting activities across various regions.

The responsibilities include:

  • Accounting process ownership, following AASB16 standards.
  • Monthly, quarterly and year-end tasks, pre and post preparation of management reporting and analysis.
  • Tax compliance including income tax returns, fbt, gst and bas in consultation with external advisors.
  • Contribution to financial statement preparation.
  • Assistance to leaders with debt recovery strategies.
  • Guidance on financial processes, procedures and internal controls; focus on operations functions including warehouses, logistics and inventory management.
  • Analysis, insights and recommendations to CFO and Financial Controller on operating performance, variances and overheads spend.
  • Driving continuous process improvement initiatives for compliance and robust internal control.
  • Leadership of ad-hoc projects as directed by the CFO and Financial Controller.

Ideal candidates will be CA or CPA qualified accounting professionals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a strong attention to detail, proven lease accounting (AASB16/IFRS16) experience & knowledge, and have worked in large-scale, dynamic organisations previously.
