About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technical Officer to join our team at Finucane Island. As an Electrical Technical Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the shift maintenance team in maintaining a safe, reliable, and operational plant. You will provide remote and in-field assistance and fault diagnosis support with electrical related breakdowns. Your area of responsibility will cover all operational plant and equipment and control systems across Finucane Island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
  • Liaise with other technology support functions within BHP to ensure the network and systems are maintained and managed according to BHP policy and procedures.
  • Conduct quality risk assessments and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with BHP's safety and quality standards.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Technical Officer who has a strong background in electrical systems and maintenance. You will have a proven track record of providing technical support and guidance to maintenance teams and have experience in fault diagnosis and repair of electrical equipment and systems. You will also have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate (WA Electrical Licence) and/or electrical tertiary related discipline.
  • Current, minimum C class valid driver's licence.
  • Current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) - or able to obtain.
