About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Allied Health Assistant to support aged care customers in Hervey Bay.

This permanent full-time or part-time position involves delivering therapeutic programs, preparing for group activities, and providing general support to the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual or group therapy programs under supervision and guidance from senior staff members.
  • Assist in programme preparation and customer supervision to ensure smooth operations and high-quality services.
  • Support the healthcare team with clinical materials and equipment to maintain a safe and effective working environment.
  • Prepare assessment, treatment, and clinical processes for customers to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with customers in their homes to provide tailored support and ensure their needs are met.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or a related field.
  • Experience in massage therapy, preferably with frail/aged customers, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and safely within established guidelines and protocols.
  • High-level computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to use own vehicle for work purposes.
