Software Development Specialist

Job Description:

This organisation has developed an integrated family of mining machine-based information technology products that interconnect the mining machines to provide real-time guidance, tracking, monitoring and supervisory control of the operational mining fleet.

The product range links with other mining and business information systems and is an integral part of the organisation's vision for Mining Technology Enabled Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create clear, concise, tested and easily understandable code that sets a high bar of coding excellence.
  • Deliver software within a collaborative team that meets technical and business requirements while ensuring alignment to the technical strategy.
  • Write, maintain and interpret technical documentation, and design and deliver high-end solutions to complex problems in a high-stakes domain.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Commercial experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot and Python programming languages.
  • Experience with Restful APIs, multithreading with Java, microservices and distributed architecture concepts.
  • Familiarity with build, test and dependency management tools, modern database design and technologies.
  • Experience with modern security principles and technologies.
