Deliver a sustainable future with Clough's landmark urea project in Western Australia.

We are currently searching for a Site Construction Manager to join Project Ceres based in Karratha. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will ensure site construction activities proceed within schedule and budget and in accordance with the specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish, coordinate and implement area construction schedules, personnel charts, and material and equipment requirements.
  • Control expenditures in assigned area for labor, equipment, material and services and ensure field operations are within budget.
  • Responsible for overall supervision of personnel in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate all activities inside the work area and manage a team of superintendents, field engineers and others for daily goals and activities.
  • Monitor progress and timely installation of modules, interconnecting components and stick-built commodities within the work area.
  • Provide leadership for the safety, accident prevention, and fire prevention programs on the project.
  • Daily coordination with the General Superintendent and interface managers.
  • Monitor and take an active role in current and look ahead schedules.
  • Perform work in a brownfield area, liaison with operations to perform this work.
  • Communicate with operations on interface work activities.
  • Responsible for conducting area-wide schedule, interface and performance meetings with all associated disciplines superintendents to establish and maintain a coordinated plan and efficient performance of the work in the area.
  • Set area priorities and resolve conflicts between disciplines.
  • Resolve problems and coordinate with engineering, procurement and others to ensure appropriate solutions are determined and implemented in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
  • Implement corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operations.
  • Coordinate activities with other disciplines or areas and clients' resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.
  • Perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities for subordinate personnel.
  • Ensure that Clough and local/national safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Incorporate the Zero Accident Philosophy into every aspect of construction operation and participate in scheduled safety meetings.
  • Demonstrate leadership in a team-based environment.
  • Use the most current design documents to complete the work and obtain approval for all design changes prior to implementation.
  • Complete all milestone dates as scheduled and ensure that all construction activities meet quality and workmanship standards.
  • Obtain required permits prior to starting work at the site.
  • Monitor quantity reporting.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the work area.
  • Hold pre-start and end-of-shift meetings.
  • Manage performance.

A competitive salary is offered for this position, estimated at around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
