We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of medium to large-scale EPC and/or EPCM projects.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct independent electrical work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a medium-size project or assignment in support of a global business unit.
  • Provide technical input to meet procurement requirements.
  • Assist in the evaluation of suppliers and technical bid evaluations.
  • Familiar with tie-in of overhead powerlines, design of switchrooms, and cable calculations.
  • Review and make recommendations on the electrical engineering aspects of bid evaluations and awards for approval by project engineering.
  • Help lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity utilizing relevant procedures, design standards, and guides.
  • Other responsibilities as designated.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferential will be in field experience across either EPCM and/or EPC execution models on major, complex projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience in FEED, proposal, and detailed engineering preferably in an EPC/EPCM industry for large mining projects, power projects, utilities, oil and gas plants.
  • Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computer applications within the Electrical engineering discipline.
  • Experience in design, procurement, construction, commissioning, or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, or process plants is desirable.
  • Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods and of precedents in the Electrical discipline and principles and practices of inter-related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of related construction practices and the associated costs.
  • Knowledge of application and coordination of 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools on a project.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical and cost issues related to selection of design features within the discipline.
