At Greencross Vets, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and exceptional opportunities to our team members. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated veterinary surgery intern to join our team at ARH Essendon.

The Surgery department is staffed by experienced surgeons, a surgical resident, and a team of skilled surgical nurses. As a surgical intern, you will have the opportunity to assist with consultations, diagnostic procedures, surgical procedures, case management, and patient discharges. You will also be trained in performing diagnostic procedures such as radiography, CT, and MRI.

We offer a diverse case load, with a wide range of orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurologic, and oncologic surgery cases. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including arthroscopy, digital radiography, and a CT scanner and MRI unit on-site.

We are committed to your professional development and offer mentorship and guidance from our experienced team. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced nurses, veterinarians, and specialists who will guide you every step of the way.

We believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and offer a flexible scheduling system that ensures you have time to relax and recharge. The position is Monday to Friday, 4 days a week, with no after-hours requirements and includes 4 weeks of annual leave and 1 week of study leave.
