About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of older adults by providing them with home help services and personal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • General housekeeping and making beds
  • Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
  • Washing, folding and ironing laundry
  • Meal preparation and grocery shopping
  • Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
  • Assisting clients to take their medications
  • Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
  • Providing social and emotional support
  • Providing transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
  • Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things
Requirements
  • A valid driver's licence & own insured, roadworthy vehicle
  • Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
