We at Bodewell community care are looking for qualified personal Support Worker’s to come and join our highly professional team. A great opportunity has become available to work casually as a personal support worker in the **Inner/western suburbs of Melbourne**. **Airport West, Caroline Springs, Essendon, Flemington, Footscray, Keilor, Melton, Point Cook, Sunshine, Sydenham, Werribee, Williamstown and Yarraville**. The role will be involved in assisting our clients who want to live independently while having assistance with duties such as:

- Personal care
- Respite care
- Shopping
- Social support
- Domestic care
- Meal preparation
- Transporting to appointments

**About you**:
We are looking for personal support workers who will provide culturally appropriate support to our aged care clients that need assistance with everyday living or are living with a disability. We deliver in home care, and as a support worker you will promote and maintain client’s independence, respect, dignity, choice, and privacy. We want to make sure that our qualified personal support workers maintain a safe and professional relationship with clients while understanding and being respectful of their individuality and diversity that will include domestic, respite and personal care services to our client’s diversity.

**To Be successful**:

- Certificate III or higher
- Have valid driver’s license,
- Have a reliable and registered vehicle and current car insurance.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Current Manual Handling certificate (will need to obtain while in the screening process)
- Current national police clearance (within 2.5 years) or a NDIS clearance check
- Must be available to work mornings, Mon-Fri
- Must be reliable and have the willingness to work
- Good communication skills
- Have working with children’s check employee
- Willing to travel to and from client’s homes.
- Proof of covid 19 vaccinations
- Proof of flu vaccination

If you have completed a certificate III in individual support and want to kick start your career as a personal support worker this role is for you
- _All successful applicants will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid as an inherent requirement of the role._
- _All applicants are required to undergo a National Police Check and provide evidence of right to work in Australia_
