Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. As an Occupational Therapist with this organisation, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and make a real difference in their lives.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent full-time position that offers a challenging and rewarding career path.
  • You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality therapy services to clients in rural and remote communities.

The organisation provides quality therapy services in North Queensland and across Australia, with clinics in various locations and an active telehealth service. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including children and adults, and their families/carers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To provide and contribute to the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality and cost-effective services to all people seeking and receiving a service.
  2. To complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualised plans and reports following company policy and procedures.
  3. To provide expert contemporary practice advice to people accessing the service, such as families and carers as well as professionals.
  4. To initiate and participate in personal reflection, professional training and development, and continuous improvement activities.

You will maintain client service records in accordance with company policy and procedures, and legislative requirements. You will also develop and maintain high-quality relationships with referrers to ATS, parents, clients, and other stakeholders in the community.

Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary degree or higher qualification from a recognised University in Occupational Therapy.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including effective communication, negotiation, leadership, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills.
  • An innovative and strategic approach to client service delivery and organisational improvement.
  • The ability to demonstrate and encourage teamwork.
  • Strength in building customer and stakeholder relationships.
