Occupational Therapist - Cairns, Queensland.
Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time.
Practice Information:
This practice has been successfully adapting to the ever-changing health, disability and aged care sectors for the past 25+ years. They are part of the community of Cairns and Far North Queensland. They have the professional resilience and grit to continue to provide compassionate, person centred and evidence-based OT services.
The practice has weekly team meetings, mentoring sessions and quarterly team in-services where the team come together with a focus on being the best OTs they can be, share the wins & challenges and gain support from each other. You will:
Receive support from long term employees
Receive the right amount of support and coaching, when you need it
Be challenged so you can grow to your true potential
Opportunity to upskill in an area of your interest
Position Description:
This practice needs another Occupational Therapist with a focus on one or two of our areas of expertise:
Home safety and equipment prescription
Work rehabilitation services and Ergonomics
Lymphoedema, swelling management
Neurological Rehabilitation
Hand and upper limb therapy
Pain management therapy
About You:
You value empathy, respect and kindness
You are a hands-on therapist, who builds relationships with your clients, referrers and the allied health team
You are a good communicator, both verbally and in writing
You believe in life-long learning and are keen to dive into knowing more about one or more of our areas of expertise
You enjoy a bit of diversity in your caseload
Position Requirements:
AHPRA registration
Federal Police Check
Hold current drivers license
Salary Information:
$44 - $58 per hour.

Cairns, considered the gateway to Australia's Great Barrier Reef, is a city in tropical Far North Queensland. Cairns Esplanade, lined with bars and restaurants, has a swimming lagoon.
