The opportunity to join as a qualified Carpenter at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where you will play a key role in delivering critical maintenance services under an existing contract. This hands-on position involves reactive repairs, preventative maintenance and minor modifications across hospital facilities ensuring safe functional environments for staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry and trade-related tasks within specified timeframes and quality standards based on drawings templates and instructions.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs maintenance and minor modifications in line with safety and compliance requirements.
- Operate tools machinery and equipment safely assist with non-mechanical maintenance and construction activities.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed including photographic documentation uploaded to company systems.
- Communicate effectively with clients suppliers subcontractors and the service delivery team to support smooth operations.
- Complete tasks within time constraints escalate issues as needed and contribute to safety culture and continuous improvement.
About You
- Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent).
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current White Card (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Demonstrated experience in carpentry maintenance and new works ideally in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks within time constraints.
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
