Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our team in New South Wales.

This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals, providing high-quality O&G services to patients across the health district.

You will be responsible for ensuring the provision of exceptional care, supporting the development of O&G services, and facilitating a culture of learning and best practice within the department.

About Our Location

New South Wales is a vibrant and picturesque region, boasting stunning coastal scenery, surrounded by beautiful beaches. The area offers a high quality of life, abundant recreational opportunities, and a strong sense of community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical care to patients across the health district
  • Support the development of O&G services, including clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate a culture of learning and best practice within the department, through education and training programs
  • Demonstrate commitment to teaching and mentoring, with experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students
Requirements
  • Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent specialist recognition
  • Significant experience at a senior O&G specialist level, with demonstrated competency working independently with complex emergencies and limited support
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring, with experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students
Package and Benefits
  • Base Salary: $186,241 - $251,618 (dependent on experience)
  • Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme - up to $10,000 depending on the position and location
