About the Role:

This Project Planning Specialist position plays a critical part in maintaining and delivering maintenance schedules that support Defence capability.

You will be responsible for developing and managing service delivery schedules, including integrated maintenance programs and Ship Maintenance Availability schedules.

Liaising with diverse stakeholders to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant scheduling is key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing service delivery schedules
  • Leading planning activities such as the Target Budget Estimate process
  • Updating schedules and tracking progress against Contract Deliverables
  • Liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling and support services
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ensuring compliance with Defence statutory requirements and company standards
  • Contributing to reporting and analysis to support decision-making
  • Promoting a strong safety culture and secure work environment
  • Supporting the business in maintaining key client relationships through timely and quality schedule delivery

What We Look For:

  • Proven experience as a Scheduler in either an Australian Defence or commercial environment
  • Strong proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Open Plan Professional, with expertise in schedule reporting
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Hold (or be eligible to obtain) an AGSVA Baseline security clearance
