Job Overview:

  • Ensures aircraft meet airworthiness standards in accordance with prescribed aviation regulations.
  • Supports Maintenance Managers by providing tactical level task coordination, personnel management, and supervision for a group of maintenance tasks or GAT and/or personnel.

Responsibilities:

  1. Completion of platform specific safety familiarisation course
  2. Assessment of competence on the task being authorised
  3. System or component specific courses for component level maintenance
  4. Understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles
  5. Knowledge of WH&S requirements
  6. Demonstration of understanding of Human Factors in Maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance
  • Tertiary qualifications - Certificate IV or above in Aeroskills – Avionics from a recognised institution
  • Hold Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) on applicable type.
  • Meets authorisation requirements under 16 Avn Bde DASR 145 MOE.
